KinderClub
Art appreciation and understanding for children, adolescents and families
The Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden established its KinderClub in 2007. The club’s activities are geared toward children aged 4 to 14 and it is intended that the contemporary art exhibitions stimulate age-appropriate discussions about art. In the meantime, club membership has reached 120 children who regularly attend the events offered. They are professionally guided by art mediators Eric Schütt and Andrea Schendekehl. Each member receives a KinderClub membership card that enables documentation of their visits to the Kunsthalle by means of a sticker. Once the nine fields have been covered by stickers, the child will receive a small gift.
Activities are offered regularly for members of the KinderClub. Information on exhibitions is received via mail or e-mail, while special events are announced within a newsletter. KinderClub members can actively participate in the creation or selection of new programs.
Any child may become a member. Membership to the KinderClub is free of charge.
Registration is possible either at an event itself or per telephone at +49 7221-30076-400, per fax +49 7221-30076-500, or per e-mail at info@kunsthalle-baden-baden.de. The KinderClub newsletter can also be subscribed to at the e-mail address.
How about a visit to the museum?
Schulartübergreifende Lehrerfortbildung
Teacher training for teachers at all types of schools
In close cooperation with the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, the LUST AUF MUSEUM program has been offering advanced training for teachers since 2009. The program is directed at educators who are interested in individually grappling with contemporary art positions on the one hand but also entails a common search for concepts that will enable students to gain a practical, hands-on approach when visiting exhibitions.
Materials that will enable students to get an active handle on the individual exhibitions will be compiled. This material is provided here as a download.
