A workshop for children and youths who have always wanted to sing a piece of their mind for the adult world to hear! The childrens' choir of complaints is going to sing about everything that annoys the young generation about their city. On three consecutive days we will gather common themes and rehearse under the direction of Doreen Kutzke. On the final day there will be a performance of the workshop's outcome.
Art appreciation and understanding for children, adolescents and families
The Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden established its KinderClub in 2007. The club’s activities are geared toward children aged 4 to 14 and it is intended that the contemporary art exhibitions stimulate age-appropriate discussions about art. In the meantime, club membership has reached 120 children who regularly attend the events offered. They are professionally guided by art mediators Eric Schütt and Andrea Schendekehl. Each member receives a KinderClub membership card that enables documentation of their visits to the Kunsthalle by means of a sticker. Once the nine fields have been covered by stickers, the child will receive a small gift.
Activities are offered regularly for members of the KinderClub. Information on exhibitions is received via mail or e-mail, while special events are announced within a newsletter. KinderClub members can actively participate in the creation or selection of new programs.
Any child may become a member. Membership to the KinderClub is free of charge.
Registration is possible either at an event itself or per telephone at +49 7221-30076-400, per fax +49 7221-30076-500, or per e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. The KinderClub newsletter can also be subscribed to at the e-mail address.
How about a visit to the museum?
Teacher training for teachers at all types of schools
In close cooperation with the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, the LUST AUF MUSEUM program has been offering advanced training for teachers since 2009. The program is directed at educators who are interested in individually grappling with contemporary art positions on the one hand but also entails a common search for concepts that will enable students to gain a practical, hands-on approach when visiting exhibitions.
Materials that will enable students to get an active handle on the individual exhibitions will be compiled. This material is provided here as a download.
The exhibition compagnion
The Kinder-Kunst-TRANSPORTER serves individual children as well as small groups as a guide and stimulating companion to make their exhibition visit as instructive and creativity-promoting and it is fun.
The Kinder-Kunst-TRANSPORTER is easy to handle and can be rolled through the exhibition. You can sit on it and use the lid as a work surface for painting or drawing. It comes equipped with pencils, paper, chalk and a chalk board as well as a quiz with fun questions and little exhibition-related tasks to carry out. When all of the questions have been answered, a small gift can be collected at the admissions desk! The Kinder-Kunst-TRANSPORTER is outfitted with new child-appropriate information and arts material, art games and quizzes for each new exhibition.
The Kinder-Kunst-TRANSPORTER is available for use free of charge at the admissions desk.
