Power of the Powerless
16.11.2013 – 9.2.2014
Is art able to create images for less visible or even completely invisible groups of a population? Is art able to give them a profile and a voice and to create spaces of participation/action? Is it ableto give power to the powerless? These questions are at the core of the exhibition Power of the Powerless in the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden.
Escape and expulsion in Ciudad Juárez (Mexico) are the central themes of the installation by Teresa Margolles.
